Wendy Murphy
Based in New Zealand Wendy Murphy graduated in Visual Communication Design at the Wellington School of Design. There she developed a passion for contemporary printmaking, and she proceeded to work as a print workshop technician at the Wellington print workshop. She spent several years as a freelance designer and illustrator, and has taught drawing and printmaking at numerous educational institutions. She now teaches fine art at Marlborough Girls College.
Wendy has exhibited extensively throughout New Zealand and her recent series of still life etchings are also currently showing in a group exhibition ‘Three Marlborough Printmakers’ at the Oriel Gallery in Picton.
